Transcript: Feature Drama Preview: The Good News According To Jesus: Episode 2 and 3
AD: In his carpentry shop, Jesus uses a wood planer to shave wood off a yoke.
Narrator: The one standing among you whom you do not know, the one coming behind me.
AD: Waves splash on white rocks.
AD [Text: This year.]
AD: Andrew bursts through the door grinning excitedly.
Narrator: The lace of whose sandal. I am not worthy to untie.
AD [Text: Meet the one.]
Narrator: We have found, the Messiah.
Ad: Simon Peter looks up at him. He runs after Andrew down an alley, fumbling to put on his sleeveless coat.
AD [Text: Foretold by all the prophets.]
AD: Simon Peter rushes in to stand in front of Jesus. Jesus smiles
warmly at him, then puts his hand on his left shoulder. Scenes of Jesus trekking
through the wilderness.
Narrator: For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone, exercising faith in him, might not be destroyed, but have everlasting life.
AD: Jesus’ eyes search the sky,
Narrator: and he saw God's Spirit descending like a dove. Rabbi.
AD: The boat keels sharply, tossing the crew sideways. All four fishermen frantically struggle to haul in the net. Jesus and his disciples make their way up a flight of stairs to the temple courtyard. Flashes of galaxies, nebulae, solar flares erupting from the sun's surface.
Jehovah: This is my son.
Narrator: He drove All those with the sheep in cattle, out of the temple.
AD: Two men gripped Jesus' wrists as the mob leads him to the edge of the cliff. Close behind them, Mary stops short, watching anxiously. The crowd parts. Jesus is gone.
